There’s something inherently creepy about snakes. Judging from the reactions of Indiana Jones and the reception to the movie “Snakes on a Plane,” I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Updated: Ofcom riles Vodafone over 4G trail

Vodafone isn’t happy with Ofcom’s decision to allow Everything Everywhere to launch its 4G services before the end of this year. The UK is lagging behind other countries, such as the US and Canada, when it comes to the super-fast 4G mobile network and British carriers are keen to capitalise on the new technology as soon as Ofcom gives them the green light.

Having Problems Downloading App Updates?

Developers spent much of the past two weeks prepping their apps for Retina display, in anticipation of last week’s release of the third generation iPad. Unfortunately, many users might have also experienced the so-called “Waiting…” error. This error occurs when you attempt to download and install many apps at one time, according to  OS X Daily . To fix this, try the following: Tap a single app icon so that it says “Paused” and then tap that app icon again to see if it resumes downloading If pausing and resuming didn’t work: Reboot the iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch While it’s not clear what causes this, it most likely is the result of Apple’s servers simply being hit more often than normal. Samsung Galaxy S3 launch date set for May?

We may have just learned the Samsung Galaxy S3 release date thanks to a new image which has made its way onto the web. Thanks to the photo which was posted on the social news website Reddit, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is set for a May 22 launch, in London. The surprisingly official-looking leaked press image reveals the potentially new style Samsung may follow with the Galaxy S3, with the front of the device sporting a two-tone white and grey design. PayPal Here credit card reader to challenge Square

PayPal has launched an iPhone-friendly credit card reader and plans to enter into direct competition with the well-established Square ecosystem. PayPal Here is a small, triangular, blue dongle that plugs into the iPhone’s headphone jack and allows vendors to accept payments for goods and services wherever they may roam. Like Square, launched by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey , PayPal Here uses an iPhone app which, once the card is swiped, allows a merchant to type in the amount
