Apple recently unveiled a brand-new iOS gaming site . The site, which is little more than a place to market some apps, was revised to coincide with the launch of the fourth generation iPod touch this week. Apple has titled the site: “Get your game face on.” It features trailers for twelve different iPhone/iPod touch games
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab device might not have been the best kept secret in the world , but its arrival at IFA still saw a lot of excitement and clamour to try out the new tablet. The dinky device, which has a 7-inch screen and weighs in at only 380g, is meant to be the portable and pocketable answer to the heft of the iPad, and certainly feels that way when you first play with it. Running Android 2.2, the Galaxy Tab is certainly a cutting-edge device when it comes to the specs – svelte chassis aside, it’s also packing a 1024×600 WSVGA screen, making it much higher resolution than Apple’s iPad. It sits nicely in the hand, with one-handed operation easy thanks to the seven-inch screen, and the rear of the Galaxy Tab (which comes in black and white) is smooth plastic but easy to grip
If you’ve been following the coverage of Apple’s special event , you’ll already know that iOS 4.1 is pretty much finished, and is scheduled to be released next week . Following this announcement, Apple has released the Gold Master of iOS 4.1 for developers wishing to further interact with the software update ahead of the final version’s release.
Motorola’s latest water resistant phone was on show today, and while we weren’t allowed to submerge it, we did take a few photos to show you. The phone has a fairly impressive 3.7-inch screen with WVGA resolution, and while it’s only rocking Android 2.1, we still think there’s a lot to love here if you’re a serial phone in-toilet dropper. It has a rubberised shell with locking mechanism to keep the back in place during underwater exploits, and the 5MP camera with flash seems a pretty good addition.
