We have some fantastic free iPhone gaming treats for you today. Two of today’s three titles have never been available for free before, and the other is actually a brand new game by developer Fingers Arts, making this list all the more special.
Sudoku 2 (New): Finger Arts has taken Sudoku to a whole new level in Sudoku 2 by making it competitive with a smart point system. The new system allows you to obtain points based on how fast you complete a puzzle, and you can share your scores with friends via OpenFeint. To win a game in Sudoku 2 you must solve a puzzle with three errors or less, but you do have some hints available to you.
The game also counts runs, where each uninterrupted sequence of games won will be added to the online leaderboards, providing more chances for you to boast about your skills.

Bumper Stars ($.99 -> Free): The popular pool/pinball-inspired Facebook game, just shrunken down for the iPhone and iPod touch. The idea of the game is to bounce your beaver around the randomly generated levels in order to collect all of the fruit within a limited number of shots. Aiming is done via a tap and drag mechanic, where the further you extend your line, the more powerful of a shot you will have.
The game allows you to connect with the Facebook version as well, so you can challenge your Facebook friends and compare scores no matter where you are.

Sentinel 2: Earth Defense ($2.99 -> Free): The sequel to Origin8’s popular tower defense game, Sentinel: Mars Defense, builds on everything the original did right by adding a ton of new weapons, enemies, and gampeplay elements.
The game also features OpenFeint, so you can view global leaderboards, earn achievements, and chat with your friends.
