The developers behind Brain Racer have launched a new classroom service designed to engage students by using the technology they are most comfortable with, texting. Instead of telling students to turn off their iDevices when class begins, ClassPager uses text enabled devices to effectively increase class participation. To sign up the student texts the class title to the number provided.

Chinese telecommunications company ZTE has recently announced two new Ice Cream Sandwich headsets, at least one of which looks to hit CDMA markets in the US. While ZTE hasn’t released many large players in the US, their ZTE Warp is one of Boost Mobile’s key players and the ZTE N910 looks to be its spiritual successor. Whether the uninspiringly-named ZTE N910 will be keeping it’s moniker – or even heading to Boost Mobile (a private subsidiary of Sprint) is yet to be determined.
Google chairman Eric Schmidt isn’t shy about Google’s mobile ambitions, telling MWC 2012 attendees that the company wants an Android in every pocket in 12 years’ time. By then, he said, top end phones that cost $400 (£250) now will be available for a fraction of the price: “The smartphone revolution will be universal,” he said.
