Checking our mailboxes this morning, we were pleasantly surprised to find a whole new bunch of Google Wave invites. What was unusual however, was the fact that these Google Wave invites had been sent to some of our “less-used” email addresses, those usually reserved for our automated responses and blog submissions. Even more surprising though, was the fact that these were “first tier” invites, not the usual “XYZ has sent you an invitation to Google Wave”.
After a little digging, a few calls and messages between our writers, it seems we’re not the only ones, so we’re assuming that Google have released another batch of Wave invites.
So, if you’ve applied, check your email! We’ll be updating throughout the day on any further news we glean, and we’d also love to hear from you if you’ve been one of the lucky people to have received an invite yourself today!

With the recent launch of Google Wave to 100,000 testers, questions are already being asked as to when the next round of invites will begin, and who they’ll be aiming at.
The Google Enterprise blog has recently announced that they’ll be providing schools and businesses that utilize Google Apps with limited entry to Google Wave for Apps soon, and whilst we’re still cautious we’re hoping that the next round of invites arrive before the holidays.
So, if you’re a Google Apps admin, be sure to sign up for the invite at the Wave for Apps website, and if you’re a student remember to apply for a Google Wave invite at the regular place, using your .AC email address. Additionally, encourage whoever admins your schools Google Apps, so they’re registered for Wave Invites for Apps.

Good luck everyone, and don’t forget to sign up for our Google Wave Invite Giveaway draw!
